Speaking and Listening Books 1-3 consist of eight units and comprise the following features:
- VOCABULARY and EXPRESSIONS: presentation of material relevant to the theme of the speaking task for each unit.
- MODEL DIALOGS: practice in question formation for Stage 2 of the ECCE Speaking test.
- Tips and Exercises for SUGGESTIONS, CHOICE and REJECTION.
- PART 1 - WARM-UP QUESTIONS: A set of questions relating to the theme of the Speaking task in Part 2.
- PART 2 - SPEAKING TASK: either Help Solve a Problem, a situation in which someone has a problem and needs advice, or Making a Choice.
- LISTENING PART 1: Students hear short dialogs or announcements and, to answer questions based on what they heard, choose the correct answer from one of three pictures.
- LISTENING PART 2: Students hear an interview with two or more people. During the interview they hear sets of questions based on what they heard, and choose the correct answer from three options.
- GLOSSARY: An alphabetically-organized list of key vocabulary items presented throughout the book, with translation.
